THE BRAND:
ELLS is a line of minimal knitwear designed to offer the wearer structure and comfort by mixing the organic nature of knitwear with clean silhouettes and special details in each piece.
Designed and founded by Ellen Krikorian, this line is an expression of her passion for architectural clothing and line work as well as the craft of knitting.
Every garment is designed, developed and produced ethically in Cincinnati, Ohio. In an effort to as close to zero waste as possible, pieces are generally made to order.
THE STORY:
Ellen fell in love with knitting after taking one class in her college fashion design program. After graduating and working in the industry for several years, she decided to launch her own brand in the summer of 2020.
The technical and math oriented process of developing knitwear resonated perfectly with her logical way of thinking. Mixing this with the creative side of designing clothing enabled her to express both of her strengths and passions in one medium.
Our hope is that this comes through in the clothing. We want to create garments that our customers look forward to wearing, that can elevate any outfit while still looking effortless. Everything we design can be worn casually but also has the ability to be dressed up. We want our knitwear to feel personal to those wearing it and to be loved for a long time. The greatest joy in creating clothing is empowering people to feel like their best selves.
